Based on these observations, research will be carried out regarding the <br>importance of learning evaluation for teachers of Buddhism and Character education in class <br>IX A of Metta Maitreya Junior High School. This study uses a qualitative method. The time <br>for carrying out this research is January to March 2024. The research location is Metta <br>Maitreya Junior High School which is located on Jalan Tuanku Tambusai, Puri Nangka Sari <br>Complex, Pekanbaru. The data sources come from the Principal of Metta Maitreya Junior <br>High School, two Buddhist and Character Education teachers, two students, and parents. Data <br>collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this <br>research are 1. to find out whether the assessment carried out by the teacher is systematic, <br>continuous and comprehensive for students to obtain information about students' abilities <br>(learning outcomes) in achieving learning goals, 2. can increase teacher creativity because <br>when creating questions tests, teachers think creatively to produce problems or questions that <br>must be answered by students, 3. The results of the research with the <br>procedures for planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. It has been implemented <br>well, which is indicated by the increase in learning outcomes and character understanding, the <br>average score of students shows an increase in understanding from 70 in the pre-cycle <br>increasing to 73 in the first cycle, increasing to 90 in the second cycle until all students <br>complete (≥74 KKM ) in receiving character-based Buddhist lessons, in percentage there was <br>an increase in understanding of 20% in the first cycle and 30% in the second cycle to 100%. <br>This shows that the application of the discussion method was successfully understood by the <br>students, the Buddhist teacher was more involved in the activeness of students in learning <br>with the discussion method with a seating arrangement pattern which was considered <br>effective and enjoyable.</p> 2024-04-04T04:41:31+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://maitreyawira.e-journal.id/jm/article/view/95 Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter Melalui Mata Pelajaran Agama Buddha Pada Siswa Kelas IX SMB Vimala Maitreya Pancur Jaya 2024-04-05T01:52:17+00:00 Anen Anen anen@gmail.com <p>This study aims to describe the implementation of character education learning at SMB <br>Vimala Maitreya Pancur Jaya. Classroom Action Research Model (CAR) as a class IX <br>student respondent as many as 30 students. The results of research with procedures for <br>planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. It has been well implemented, as shown <br>by the results of learning and character understanding, the average value of students shows an <br>increase in understanding from 70 in the pre-cycle to 76 in cycle I, increasing to 82 in cycle II <br>until all students have completed (≥70 KKM) ) in receiving character-based Buddhism <br>lessons, in terms of percentage there was an increase in understanding of 30% in cycle I and <br>17% in cycle II to 100%. Data analysis techniques with interactive models (Miles and Huberman, 1994: <br>12), through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. Education makes a very big contribution to the progress of a <br>nation. The efforts to improve education in Indonesia are by moving all the components that <br>make up a quality system in education. The research used in this study is library research or <br>library research, namely research conducted by collecting data or scientific writings that aim <br>to be research objects or data collection that is of a literary nature. The discussion in this <br>study was carried out using the checklist or synthesize checklist method which was derived <br>from text, context, and discourse. The inquiry learning model with the ehipassiko concept has <br>not been implemented yet because there is still a lack of understanding of how these two <br>concepts work. Even though these two concepts have a lot in common, it is still very difficult <br>to do because it requires proper understanding and strategies that are in accordance with these <br>two concepts.
